BANNERS: DESIGN, PRODUCTION AND SERVICE

Our customers value the fact that we are able to offer banner design and/or banner production in-house by a dedicated team of designers and production staff. Most importantly, this means that we always have complete control over quality and delivery deadlines whilst keeping personal and personable contact with the customer at all stages of their job. We are happy to print and supply a single banner or a thousand banners and treat every project with equal care and diligence.

Materials: Our banners are fabricated from quality high strength materials to endure long-term exterior exposure. We use solid 720gsm reinforced banner grade PVC with a blackout centre to stop the ‘ghosting’ of images from one side to the other in bright sunlight. The materials are flame-retardant and have a UV life of 7 years. We can also offer ‘mesh’ PVC as an alternative if preferred.

Finishing: All banners are stitched and finished to a marine standard with double rolled pockets top and bottom, hemmed and eyeleted. Two nylon ties are supplied with each banner for anchoring to BannerFlex brackets.

Size: We can offer banners in a huge variety of stock and custom sizes up to a maximum size of 750 x 3000mm (this is the largest size that can safely be installed onto a lamp column – regardless of any designers claims!)

Print: We offer full in-house digital and screen-printing services which can be tailored to suite the customers specific requirements and budget. Our 6- colour solvent based digital machine is ideal where the customer requires high resolution photographic reproduction of images and/or has short runs of different designs within one banner campaign. The screen-printed option is very useful for longer runs of banners in single/multiple spot colours and full colour process. In both options the UV life of the inks are stated at 3 years but in practice we have banners that have been in place for over 5 years with no significant fading. Speak to our sales team and we will advise as to the most suitable and cost-effective print method.

Double sided printing: The majority of our banner printing is double sided. We only use double sided banner material using 2 print processes to print both sides, we do not use single sided material stitched back to back to make a double-sided banner – this will result in the banner becoming torn or ripped within a very short space of time.

Design: Our in-house graphic design team are happy to work with prepared artwork in any format or can create bespoke designs as required at very competitive rates. Please contact us for a quotation – we only require a very vague brief to get the best results!.

Supplied Artwork: When preparing your artwork please convert all text to graphics (vectored lines), otherwise it is quite possible we will have trouble importing if we do not have the correct fonts. Please also ensure that the file is free of masks and layers.

Please specify the final size of the printed image, or let us know what percentage of the final image size the artwork is set at. EPS, PDF, CDR and AI files are all acceptable.

Production Lead-times: Lead-times can vary from 3 – 10 working days depending on size of order and complexity of any design requirements.

Caring for your banners

When storing your banners for a season:

make sure banners are dry and clean before rolling up
Always roll banners to prevent creasing. Do not fold
Avoid crushing banners by storing other items on them

Cleaning Banners

Lay banners on a clean surface with slope to drain
Use tepid or luke warm water (preferable) and with moderate velocity spray rinse banners
Using a sponge (not a bristle brush) and a mild detergent (such as car shampoo), wash banners (test a portion of ink before doing entire banner)
Rinse and hang to dry
